Since graduating from the FLP in 2010, Mayra has continued to excel academically, earning a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on International Business from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Master of Education in Higher Education & Leadership Policy from Southern Methodist University. She also holds a Professional and Executive Coaching Certificate from NYU.
She has worked as an adjunct faculty member and residence hall director at NYU. As an educator and entrepreneur, Mayra has dedicated her career to empowering others to succeed.
Mayra was in the FLP program for four years — all of high school. She also interned in the Brewer firm's public affairs department in 2012 and 2013. A first-generation college graduate, in summer 2024, Mayra taught a course for FLP high school students titled "Rise & Thrive: Building Mental Strength for College Success and Beyond."
The Brewer Foundation wishes Mayra the best of luck as she embarks on this exciting new chapter of her academic journey!
